Man airlifted to hospital after Frome crash
A man was airlifted to hospital after being involved in a single-vehicle collision in Rode, near Frome.
The man was believed to be travelling with two people when the Vauxhall Corsa he was in collided with a BT pylon on the A361 at Rode Common at 11.40pm, on Wednesday evening.
The vehicle left the road and ended up on its roof in a field.
Several fire crews from Frome and Wiltshire attended, along with police and paramedics.

Fire crews worked for more than half an hour to release the man, but he remained in the vehicle while paramedics worked to stabilise him.
He was airlifted to Frenchay, in Bristol, by the Avon and Somerset police helicopter.
The extent of his injuries is not known.
The two other people were treated for minor injuries at Bath’s Royal United Hospital.
The collision also burst a water main and a wall was damaged.
The road re-opened at 7.30am yesterday morning.
