Talented young singers from a Bath school have been praised for their work putting on a production of Mozart's The Magic Flute.

Prior Park College has now hosted three full-scale Mozart operas over the past seven years and audiences have been impressed by the professionalism shown by everyone involved.

The Magic Flute, which was set in the psychedelic 1960s, was directed by Garth Bardsley, who has wide-ranging experience as a director, writer and West End performer. Director of music Roland Robertson and singing teacher Alicia Carroll were also involved.

Joanna Kearney, from the school, said: "The Prior Park sixth form students who were lucky enough to take part are very clear that it has been a life-changing experience which has opened up the world of opera for them."
