Lynda's waiting game diary 1
Lynda Smith is a 50-year-old mum from Stanton Prior who works in the financial services industry who is waiting for a kidney transplant. In the first of a regular diary contribution, she tells us how she has been coping with the tiredness involved in her condition.
This week I haven't felt my best, but that’s mainly due to a bad cold that I’ve got.

When you work in an office, bugs seem to go round, and if one person gets a cold everyone goes down with it.
I had to take Wednesday off work as I was just so tired.
I also haven't been sleeping well, and spend most of the night coughing.
When I went for dialysis. the nurses and some patients mentioned that they had seen me in the paper.
It’s fame at last!
Despite feeling tired I have had quite a busy week.
On Tuesday it was my son David’s 24th birthday, so he came round and I cooked a family meal.
I had to be careful what I ate, and cook my food slightly different from everyone else's.
Sometimes when I eat the wrong kinds of food, it keeps me awake at night, so it was lucky that I had the day after the meal off work.
This week I managed to go ice skating, and was on the rink for an hour and a half.
I belong to an ice dance club, but thankfully we don't do any moves like they do on Dancing on Ice.
I don't think I would be able to cope with that.
It was really nice to get back on the ice, as I missed it the week before.
I have a lot of friends that go every week, so it was good to catch up with them.
