Longleat's Christmas wish for socks
Longleat Safari and Adventure Park are asking people to donate socks for their Chipmunks to keep warm in the winter months.
The socks will be used to keep the chipmunks warm, as part of their sleeping quarters and to store food.

Longleat's Chipmunks need socks for their sleeping quarters and food storage during the winter months.
Darren Beasley, a Longleat Keeper said: "As well as to snuggle up inside, the Chipmunks also use the socks as places to store their food."
Longleat is looking for any types of socks whether they are matching, single socks or an odd pair.

"It may be a bit early to be starting to think about Christmas but we're hoping people will be happy to find an alternative role for all those odd and unworn socks cluttering up their drawers," Darren Beasley added.
Chipmunks have pouches in their mouths to store food but will also use the socks as storage during winter.
"It's difficult to think of many other uses for odd socks and donating them to our chipmunks would definitely mean they were going to a good home," he added.
The socks can be donated directly to the Longleat Safari and Adventure Park. For more information visit Longleat's official website here.
