Long queues after rush hour crash near Bath
Motorists faced long queues after a two-vehicle crash on a busy road out of Bath last night.
Paramedics and ambulance crews were called to the A46, around a mile south of the Cold Ashton roundabout, at around 6pm after reports of an accident.

There had been a collision between two cars and both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles and needed to be cut out.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended the scene as a precaution, but in the end their assistance was not needed.

Two men, who were the only people inside the cars, were taken to the Royal United Hospital by land ambulance.
Their injuries were not believed to be serious.
However, people trying to make their way in and out of the city faced long tailbacks as emergency crews worked for around an hour to deal with the incident.

“How unusual for there to be a vehical crash on the A46 between the M4 and Bath. Must have been due to the drivers diet or because it's an Olympic year!”
