Three arty youngsters will have their drawings published in Bath & North East Somerset Council's Christmas newsletter highlighting the play opportunities on offer for children.

Local children were recently invited to enter the Council's Play Team Newsletter Colouring Competition and the winning pictures will be used to illustrate the information leaflet which will be sent out shortly to those involved in the Play Team's services, including schools, parents, local community groups, play providers and volunteers.

Molly Curtis, aged 8, from Radstock, Ethan Roxborough, 6, from Farrington Gurney, and 7-year-old Ewan Hipperson, from Oakhill, also won prizes for their Christmas-themed pictures which showed how riders use the Somer Valley Skate Park in Midsomer Norton.

The three winners each received a gift from a local retailer and free entry to the Council's Scooter Santa Bling Party, held at the South Wansdyke Sports Centre in Midsomer Norton on Friday 7 December.
