The last lion has joined the pride in Bath.

Called Big Game?, it has been chosen to highlight the plight of the real lions in the wild.

It joins around 100 other sculptures as part of the Lions of Bath public arts project.

The newest and final addition has taken up residence outside The Huntsman Pub and has been sponsored by design company Walker Jansseune.

Big Game? was decorated by Lion Aid, and aims to highlight the fact that lions in the wild are declining because of hunting.

A Lion Aid spokesman said: "Lion Aid are very proud to be associated with the Lions of Bath 2010 campaign and were particularly honoured to have been asked by the sponsor to help decorate this ultimate lion.

"In a symbolic twist on the hunter and the hunted, the pub has also offered to take him in at night to give him protection from the urban jungle."

The head of the lion has been mounted on a trophy shield, while the body has been painted black, with gold writing telling people the problems facing lions.

The Lions of Bath project sees a variety of life size sculptures in various locations across the city.

The project will run until October, when the sculptures will be auctioned for charity.
