The University of Bath is running a course for people in how to make the most of the Twitter phenomenon.

Its evening courses in internet training will also help people use networking site LinkedIn for business and career development.

Delia Slucutt, of the university's Division for Lifelong Learning, said: "Sites like Twitter and LinkedIn are fast becoming a major source of information and communication.

"We are pleased to be offering some of the first social media courses to be held outside London, giving people in Bath and surrounding areas the chance to learn how to use these sites to their own advantage."

The Twitter course runs between 6.30pm and 9pm on Thursday February 25, and March 11 and 25.

The LinkedIn course runs between 6.30pm and 9pm on Thursday March 4 and 18, and April 1.

Both are being run at the university's Claverton campus and cost £67 for all three sessions.
