Lansdown Tennis Club father and son net national title
TENNIS A father and son team survived a match point against them on the way to winning a national title.
David Blissett and nine- year-old son Joel, who are both members at Lansdown Tennis Club, beat four other pairs to win the Family Championships crown in Dudley.
Their tightest match in the category for fathers and sons aged ten or under saw them save a match point in the second set before winning 10-8 in the final-set tie-break.
"The other boys competing in the event were a year or more older than Joel, so he did very well to compete successfully at this level," said David.
