WOMEN'S Larkhall Athletic Ladies booked an FA Women's Cup first-round trip to Southampton Saints with a 2-0 success over Bristol Ladies Union at Plain Ham.

Home keeper Nicola O'Connell had a couple of nervous early moments as she was blinded by the low sun. Play switched to the other end, where Emily Harrington drove the ball into the side- netting on 15 minutes before Kate German forced a save with a glancing header.

Sophie Hamer finally earned the Larks the lead when she ran on to a through ball and drove sweetly past the keeper from close range. Moments later the advantage was doubled when Harrington crossed into the box for Kelly Cripps to strike home.

While victory over their South West Women's League Premier Division rivals was never in doubt for the Larks they were left counting the number of missed chances during the second half.
