Lack of crews to fight fire
A training exercise meant not enough firefighters from Bath were available to tackle a fire in a flat just minutes away from the city's fire station.
One crew from the Cleveland Bridge station was available to answer a call to the fire in a top floor flat in Bathwick Street at 10.23pm on Friday, but three other crews had to be drafted in – from Brislington and Speedwell in Bristol, and Wiltshire.
A small fire was found in the property and there are no reports of any injuries.
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue said: "Other appliances from Bath were out on a training exercise and that is why we were covering it with some Bristol and Wiltshire appliances."

Bathampton Art Group is holding an exhibition on Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm.
There will be refreshments, artwork, demonstrations by members of the group in wax, oil, mixed media, and watercolour at the event at Bathampton Village Hall in Holcombe Lane.
Steve Hall, an artist from Bradford Leigh and supporter of the group, has offered to judge the paintings in various categories, with the winners awarded art vouchers.
