Knocked down, aged 9
In 2004, when Kirsty was nine, she had been knocked down by a drink-driver in a horrific incident which broke her jaw and cheek.
The motorist was given a six-month curfew order after her car hit Kirsty as she walked along North Parade Road after a swimming session at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre.
A court was told that Kirsty was sent "spinning like a top" by the incident, and needed months of hospital treatment.
