King produces royal display as Corsham power past Portishead
Dan King netted a hat-trick as clinical Corsham Town hit hosts Portishead Town for six in a one-side Toolstation Division 1 contest.
King got the visitors’ ball rolling with an early strike before Ben Moore curled home from outside the box to double the lead soon afterwards. Booker Woodford put Corsham 3-0 ahead at the break after good work by Jamal Chevelleau.
The visitors continued their charge as the second half got under way when King found the net again before Portishead finally had some cheer for the day, reducing the arrears with a close-range finish.
Corsham quickly put the blemish behind them as Chevelleau got a goal his performance deserved before King completed his treble five minutes from time, turning home Matt Jenkins cross.
