Kenny Cole and Andy King steer to top of F2 Sidecar Championships
Sidecar passenger Kenny Cole once again teamed up with driver Andy King to claim a brace of top-two finishes at last weekend’s NG Road Race Championships at Brands Hatch.
The results, coupled with two wins at Mallory Park the week before, have moved King and Bath-based Cole to joint level with Tom and Thomas Quaye at the top of the F2 Sidecar Championship standings.

King and Cole, on their 600cc F2 Honda-powered Ireson, finished second to the Quayes during a very wet and demanding qualifying session on Saturday.
They matched that performance in the eight-lap final but went one better the following day as they won the nine-lap qualifying race in 9mins 37.55secs, averaging 67.20mph.

The final was red-flagged after a start-line accident, forcing it to be reduced to eight laps, but King and Cole led from start to finish to cross the line in 8.49.
