Keenan's speedy start
AVONVALE The under-15s continued their excellent start to the season with a 48-5 triumph at Frome.
Two carbon-copy tries, which saw sweeping miss- passes find speedy winger Keenan, gave the away side a great start.
This set the tone for the game and Jordan danced past two despairing tackles to score before Matteo rounded off a training-ground move that saw three forwards run dummy lines.
Frome's number eight responded with a try but Joe's breakaway score and an effort under the posts from Charlie following another turnover ensured there was no way back for the hosts.

Avonvale under-13s returned to winning ways with a 29-0 triumph at Combe Down.
They took the game to their hosts from the kick-off and tries from Jake, Toby Brown and Keiron – the latter following a storming run by number eight Harry – helped them open up a 19-0 interval lead. Jake converted the first two scores.
Combe Down tightened up in the second half but could not prevent Harry from coming off the back of a scrum to bag a deserved score. Centre Toby added his second after combining well with wing James.
Vale under-12s came out on top by four tries to one in their contest with Frome.
The game was played in quarters and produced some tight and physical rugby, although Vale prospered in the few passages of open play.
Joe scored a debut try, while Zac collected a high kick and raced in from 40 yards.
Quick distribution was maintained by Will, Harry and Oscar, with Finleigh, Josh and DJ running well in support.
Frome replied before Vale added two more tries to their tally, with Oscar weaving his way through to score.
The honours were shared when Vale under-10s took on their Frome counterparts.
Frome took the lead in the first game but Tom R cancelled out their try and was followed over the whitewash by Ben K-W as Vale took a narrow lead into the break.
Vale upped their game in the second period and tries from Harry and Tom wrapped up a 4-1 success.
Frome's big hooker proved a key figure in the second game, which saw Vale go down 3-2.
Tom and Ben added to their respective tallies but Vale could not get back on level terms after conceding a couple of early tries.
Callum bagged four tries as Avonvale under-9s dominated their first match with Frome.
Sam and Leo helped themselves to two tries apiece and Laurie, Oliver and Ollie were the other scorers in an 11-0 success.
The second game was a much closer affair, with Avonvale's six players taking on Frome's seven.
Man of the match Callum got a hat-trick, Sam and Leo both scored twice again and Oliver and Laurie also touched down as Vale won 9-5.
