Josh Kashdan nets top prize at English Racketlon Open
Josh Kashdan picked up the player of the day prize at the English Racketlon Open in London.
The 17-year-old from Batheaston drew on his tennis, table tennis, badminton and squash skills to triumph in the under-21s competition.
He defeated an England under-19s badminton player on the way and won all but one of his matches during the weekend, his only defeat being a narrow one at the hands of a seeded player in the men's B category.
Kashdan collected a bronze medal alongside his England colleagues in the World Team and Doubles Racketlon Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, in July and is now ranked second in the world for doubles in his age group. He is 18th in the under-21s singles rankings and is also climbing the senior charts.
