A productive mix of youngsters and veterans helped Combe Down RFC continue their fine Dorset & Wilts 1 North form with a 25-12 home win over Calne.

Veteran scrum-half Jamie Knight showed he is as sharp as ever with two poacher’s tries during a productive ten-minute spell at the start of the second half, which also saw full-back Josh Ridewood-Williams open the scoring.

“It’s great to see some youngsters coming through now in both senior teams, benefiting from the experience of playing with the likes of Jamie Knight but showing real spirit whatever the result,” he added.
