Hunt for missing Bath woman Janet Aplin

Police are searching for a woman from Bath who has suddenly gone missing.

They say they are concerned for the safety of 58-year-old Janet Aplin because her disappearance is completely out of character.

Officers say there is nothing to suggest that any other person is involved in her disappearance.

Mrs Aplin, of the Victoria pub in Millmead Road, Oldfield Park was last seen when she went to visit her mother at the Avon Court care home in Chippenham yesterday afternoon.

She was driving a silver Toyota Rav 4, registration YM53 PXJ. She has shoulder-length grey hair and was wearing a blue jumper and a blue quilted jacket.

Anyone who has seen Mrs Aplin or her car, or who knows her whereabouts, is asked to call Bath CID on 101.
