Hundreds object to homes bid
More than 360 objections have been submitted against plans for a 99-home housing development on the edge of Saltford.
The objections have been lodged by local residents against developer Crest Nicholson's planning application to build on green belt land off Manor Road.
As well as concern over loss of green belt, there has also been concern about the impact of additional traffic on nearby roads and lack of capacity in the village's already oversubscribed primary school.
Saltford councillors Mathew Blankley and Francine Haeberling have voiced their opposition to the plans and have called for the application to be decided by B&NES Council's development control committee rather than by officials.

“House building is one serious subject in Bath. So was the James Dyson Academy, the list goes one.”

“I assume none of the 360 NIMBYS live in houses or drive cars. If I am not correct in this, did others before them protest? If so many of them would not be there now.”
