Host of other festivities in run-up to Christmas
Seasonal festivities are set to continue in Bath with the opening of the Christmas Market.
The market, which will include 140 stalls around the abbey and for the first year along Bath Street and Milsom Place, will open at 10am on Thursday, November 22.
To mark the opening of the market the Holburne lantern procession will take place at 5pm on the same day starting at the Holburne Museum and continuing through the city centre before finishing at Parade Gardens.
The procession will be a community-focused event, and over the next few weeks, workshops will be taking place at the Holburne, and in schools to create the lanterns inspired by the ceramic collection at the Holburne Museum.

Nick Brooks-Sykes, chief executive of Bath Tourism Plus, said: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Holburne Museum on the opening night procession. We want the opening night of the Christmas Market to be spectacular and something for local people to participate in and enjoy.
"I am sure that the opening night celebrations will further strengthen Bath's reputation as the South West's Christmas destination."
On the same night, crowds will also get to enjoy Transient Graffiti – a community animation project which will project illustrations on to the front of Bath Abbey and the Holburne Museum. The projections are being produced by three local community groups in conjunction with award winning digital media company, Suited and Booted CIC.
Animators Elle Farnham and BAFTA award winner Emma Lazenby have been hosting workshops with the Holburne Association of Homeless Artists, Action On Hearing Loss Educational Day Services and Bath and North East Somerset Youth Services to design and produce the final animations.
On Friday, November 23 Bath's new outdoor ice rink, Bath on Ice, will open to skaters in Royal Victoria Park.
