Homes and shops hope
Local councillor Tim Ball (Lib Dem, Twerton) said he would like to see the land used for housing and shopping.
The ground occupies a key plot of land just off Twerton High Street.
Mr Ball, who is also B&NES Council cabinet member for homes and planning, said: "Bath City have been at Twerton Park for a long time and are part of the community but we realise that them being a neighbour may be coming to and end.
"If the Bath City Football Club site becomes available, then it leaves an opportunity for a makeover of the High Street and the land behind it. A mixed use of housing and shopping would be the ideal solution but this is in the hands of the football club at the moment.

“Until we have the strategy in place, I think that it is very unwise to try to plan anything. Of course, when the public consultation is on the table, we have our chance to say what is wished for Bath.
I suggest, the subject of what happens to Twerton Football ground is resolved, and then look to the future.”

“Until we have a strategy, then it remains the same. Of course, you should have your say. Someone, somewhere, has to think about the problems we have, and do something. There are even some pensioners who are cold, add young families, add those who live in temporary situations. Private rental in the city is not good for those who have children, it is not the answer to a home that is secure. Very expensive too.
Housing in Bath needs to be a non-political issue and lets help those who need it. We also, could do with more industry.”

“HE would like????? Surely it isn't about what HE would like but about the people he "represents". Has he bothered to ask them what THEY would like? Might be a good place to start!”
