Hockey: City of Bath ladies close in on East Division title
A 2-0 home victory over nearest challengers Frome saw City of Bath ladies 1sts take another step towards the West Clubs East Division title.
The win was City’s 13th in as many league outings this term and moved them 14 points clear of their visitors, who have six games to play.
Sally Palmer fired the hosts ahead with a delicious shot from the top of the D after some fine movement and passing.
They doubled their advantage before the break through short-corner specialist Sarah Greenway and went on to see out the win, recording their 12th clean sheet of the season in the process.
