A disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Isca 2nds saw Team Bath Buccs ladies 1sts lose ground in the race for a top-three West Clubs Premier Division 1 finish.

The hosts were unable to settle from the start against an Isca side who put them under repeated pressure.

A second-half strike from an acute angle proved decisive and Buccs could not find a way past Isca’s keeper as they went in search of an equaliser.

Buccs 5ths recovered from the setback of conceding a goal inside the first minute as they defeated Jaspers 2nds 3-2.

Only the heroics of keeper Sadhbh O’Shea prevented Jaspers from increasing they advantage before the break but Buccs equalised in the second half through Emma Appleby.

Clare Elsley added their second with a clever reverse shot after taking a pass from Claire Connell, who scooped home the third before Jaspers pulled one back.
