Hinter Charterhouse cricketers back in the nets
Hinton Charterhouse Cricket Club will start the countdown to the summer tonight when indoor net sessions get under way at Monkton Combe School.
Practice will take place from 6.30-8.30pm every Friday in the Knight’s Sports Centre, with old and new members welcome to attend.
Hinton’s 1st XI are looking forward are looking forward to a highly-competitive campaign in the Wiltshire League Division 1 which, thanks to restructuring, has seen a large influx of West of England League teams.
The club staged their AGM last week, where Julian Sadgrove the league’s Best Batting Analysis Trophy having scored 452 runs at an average of 56.50 in 2012.

He will continue to captain the 2nd XI this summer, having led them to promotion to Division 5, while Julian Harvey will captain the 1st XI.
Club stalwart Mark Fricker has stepped down as secretary and treasurer after many years of service, with Andrew Taylor and Katie Borton taking over the respective roles.
Meanwhile, Somerset CCC’s AGM, which was postponed last week, has been rescheduled for 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 19 in the Colin Atkinson Pavilion at the County Ground in Taunton.
