Last Saturday's meeting at Bath closed with a local winner when Limpley Stoke trainer Andy Haynes' good season continued as he saddled Looks The Business to a Bath Ales Spa Handicap win.

Having taken the lead a long way from home, Haynes' gelding was headed in the final furlong but rallied just in time to win by the minimum distance – a short head.

In the penultimate race, Peter Makin's filly Golden Destiny – a Chronicle tip – was gambled on heavily and won rather comfortably by eight lengths.

She is now entered at Goodwood on Sunday and looks the class horse in the opening race there.

There is more racing at Bath tomorrow evening to get the Bank Holiday weekend off to a good start, with the first race at 5.05pm.

There should be plenty of runners and if Richard Hannon's filly Pose is declared, she ought to be there or thereabouts in the Sportingbet Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Haynes' good luck could continue in the Sportingbet Selling Stakes with his filly Tesserae. Frequently in the running, she was touched off by just a short head at Chepstow a fortnight ago and deserves a win, albeit in just a seller.
