Harris keen on Bath City return
Midfielder Adie Harris is poised to sign for Bath City for the third time after expressing his desire to return to Twerton Park.
The combative Welshman has endured an unhappy stint as captain of today’s scheduled visitors, Weston-super-Mare, and has just completed a ban for clashing with one of his own team-mates, Jack Compton, during the Seagulls’ FA Trophy defeat at Carshalton in November.

Harris had two spells with City under former boss John Relish and was a mainstay in the side both during the second half of the Southern League championship-winning season of 2006-07 and the club’s Blue Square South debut the following year.
He left for Newport in May 2008 before switching to Weston just under a year ago.
City boss Adie Britton said: “I have spoken to him in the last week or two and learned that he was planning to leave Weston.
“He’s been suspended for the past few weeks and it came to our attention that he was available. I’ll speak to him again next week and we’ll see what happens.”
Signing Harris would give City an embarrassment of riches in midfield, with Adam Connolly, Mark Badman and Lewis Hogg playing starring roles this term, but Britton believes he would be a more than useful addition to the squad.
“He’s fantastic in the dressing room, will be welcomed by the rest of the squad and will raise the bar by another 10 per cent in all training sessions,” said Britton.
“He’s a warrior, a real competitor and we’d have no fears in using him at any time if we needed to.
“We have various thoughts about how we might use him and it does give us a few more options but if we’re playing the traditional 4-4-2 then he’s going to have to work hard to get in the side. He knows that.
“The money he’s gone elsewhere for has been good but he has missed Bath City Football Club and realises what a good squad we’ve got going forward.”
Britton also confirmed that winger Richard Evans is likely to be sent out for a month’s loan over the next week after finding himself on the fringes of the team recently. Mike Perrott, meanwhile, extended his loan spell at Frome Town for another month yesterday.
The City boss said: “Richard has had a few injuries. He was out at that period in October when we suddenly had players back fit again and since then we’ve barely lost a game.
“He’s had a lack of opportunities. Once you’re on the bench for a good few months you’re then in a position that, if you’re needed, you’re not match fit.
“We need to get him out and get him some football and that will be finalised soon.
“There’s a club in our league and a couple of Welsh Premier clubs interested in taking him.
“With Mike Perrott, I was trying to get him sorted out with another Conference club for a month but that fell through. He’s now signed to stay at Frome for another month to get some football.”
