Hannah Brown is hoping to make a splash Down Under after her burgeoning international kayaking career was given a financial boost.

The Bradford on Avon Canoe Club member was part of Great Britain's gold-medal winning team from last month's World Championships in Italy.

Now she is preparing to travel to the Wild Water World Cup in Tasmania and has been boosted by a sponsorship deal with the Family Adventure Store in Hilperton.

The shop has made a contribution to Brown's kayaking kit but she is also looking for more financial support towards the £1,500 she needs for a new racing boat.

Through events like its July 4 open day on the Kennet & Avon Canal, the Family Adventure Store in Hilperton aids the development of young paddlers in Wiltshire and works closely with The Great Big Paddle project to improve accessibility to local waterways for canoeists of all ages.
