TeamBath duo Matt Hale and Andy Tillson have taken the reins at Blue Square South outfit Weymouth.

Hale, who ran the football academy for 16-18 year olds at the University of Bath last season, is the Terras' new boss having previously enjoyed a successful stint as a player at the Wessex Stadium.

He will be assisted by Tillson, TeamBath FC's head coach for three years before the side pulled out of the non-league pyramid last month.

The pair will be officially unveiled at a press conference on Tuesday. They will be tasked with helping Weymouth regain the Blue Square Premier status they lost at the end of last season.

A statement on the Weymouth club website read: "The club are sure that Matty, who possesses a UEFA A coaching licence, will bring a hunger and freshness to the Wessex Stadium and we are also confident that he will recruit and develop players of the right quality and price.

"Andy, we believe, will be the perfect foil for Matty, bringing experience to add to Matty's enthusiasm to go with the expertise they both possess.

"Indeed the club believe that this is a strong blend as a management team and will make the team very competitive in Conference South next season."
