Good year for Lottery cash
Good causes in Bath received more than £2.4 million of National Lottery funding in 2012.
Some 43 grants were awarded across the area, providing a vital cash boost to local arts, sport and heritage projects as well as community groups.
In the last year grants have included £233,596 to Bath City Farm to involve local disadvantaged people in the development of new productive green spaces and £10,000 to Bath Mencap Society for training in using public transport for people with learning difficulties. Now these projects, and any organisation which has received Lottery funding in the last 18 years, have the chance to get recognition in the National Lottery Awards – to nominate one, go to www.nationallotteryawards.org. uk.
