Bath Arsenal FC under-14s moved into the Mid-Wilts Youth League Cup semi-finals with a 6-1 home win against Melksham United, despite falling behind early on.

Midfielder Arthur had an outstanding game and set up the equally impressive Tom H for Arsenal’s equaliser before curling home the second goal from just inside the box.

Angus netted from the penalty spot following a foul on Tom H, who added a close-range fourth goal shortly before half-time.

He completed his hat-trick midway through the second half and then laid the ball off for Arthur, who bagged his second with a low drive.

Meanwhile, Ben P, Abe N and Harvey WR all bagged braces as Bath Arsenal’s under-11s produced an exceptional performance to beat Wells City 8-0 and record their 12th league win from as many games.

Tom B showed great tenacity to smash the opening goal into the roof of the net and Adam W capped a great team display, based around slick passing and movement.

Good defending from Finn P, Kieran A, Jack D and Jack O ensured Luke F had a quiet afternoon in goal, while Will H, Ben S and Sam R were creative in midfield.

Arsenal’s under-10 Tigers moved into the Mid Wilts Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 win over a strong Devizes side.

Fin provided a lovely pass for James to open the scoring and then bagged the second himself, while Ben W had a shot cleared off the line and Dan hit the post.

Harry, Joel and Danny defended resolutely to keep Devizes out, with Ben O also making two good saves, and Louie and Luca worked tirelessly.
