Remembering the glory days
Players from Gloucestershire's golden trophy-winning era are offering their support to Alex Gidman, the county's 2012 beneficiary.
Former captain and coach Mark Alleyne, batsman Matt Windows and bowlers Mike Smith and Martyn Ball will attend a social evening in support of Gidman's benefit during next month's Cheltenham Festival.
The quartet will join director of cricket, John Bracewell, on Saturday, July 14 (6.30pm) in remembering the great days of the 1999 and 2000 seasons when the club lifted an unprecedented five one-day trophies.
There will be a hog roast and supporters will be able to mingle with team members past and present while hearing stories from the glory years.
