Glitter ball thrown at ambulance answering emergency call in Bath

An ambulance answering an emergency call was forced to stop its dash to hospital after it was hit by a glitter ball.

The ambulance, with a patient on board, was heading for Bath's Royal United Hospital when a glitter ball was thrown at it on Lower Bristol Road in Bath.

The South West Ambulance Service emergency vehicle had been taking a man suffering from a medical emergency to the RUH from Frome.

Now police have appealed for help to catch who threw the glitter ball at the vehicle near Banglos and the Green Park Tavern on Friday night.
