Georgina Gulliver cannot deny Ireland Six Nations victory over England Women
Bath’s Georgina Gulliver was unable to prevent England Women from falling to a heavy 25-0 defeat against Ireland in the Six Nations at Ashbourne yesterday.
The former St John’s Primary, St Gregory’s and Oldfield schools pupil was only introduced as a scrum-half replacement late in the second half, with the home side already having scored all of their points.
Alison Miller grabbed a well-taken hat-trick for the Irish, with Niamh Briggs also crossing the whitewash and adding five points with the boot.
England head coach Gary Street said: “We’re obviously massively disappointed with the result, but Ireland were excellent – they dominated us.
