Georgina Cassar is the rock for history makers
Georgina Cassar will make history in more ways than one when she steps out onto the carpet at Wembley Arena next month.
Not only will the 18-year-old be part of Great Britain's first Olympic rhythmic gymnastics team but she will also be the first person from Gibraltar ever to compete at the Games.
"I want to make everyone proud," said Cassar, who represented Gibraltar at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games. "I have the whole nation behind me and I'm really excited.
"It is an achievement and now I just want to have fun and don't want to waste the Games.

"We have achieved our goal in getting there and now have to set our sights on clean routines and doing our best. Whatever happens, happens."
Cassar moved to Britain 17 months ago after being invited to try out for a place in the squad and has enjoyed her stay so much that she plans to remain in Bath after London 2012, completing the second year of A-levels in psychology, biology and PE at King Edward's School.
"I wouldn't say it was a sacrifice to do this because it was what I wanted to do," she said.
"It has been hard but I have grown as a person. I am much more independent and have learned a lot about myself, how to work with other people, how to live with other people who aren't your family, how to cook, how to clean and, if you need to go to the doctors, how to make an appointment.
"I wouldn't have changed anything and I am really excited about going to the village now.
"When we got our Team GB kit from Loughborough recently I didn't sleep the night before. It was like the night before Christmas. It was just so amazing."
