Team Bath has broken the record for most international call-ups from a British futsal club at one time after five of their players were selected for UEFA European Championship qualifying matches.

Luke Ballinger, who plays for Team Bath’s National League side, will captain England during their matches in Lithunia against the host country and Cyprus.

Team Bath Futsal Club – whose past players include Bath City’s Marc Canham – was founded five years and is now one of the top outfits in the UK.

The men’s National League side play at the highest level, while three teams – two men’s and one women’s – take part in British Universities & Colleges Sport competitions.

There is also a men’s 3rd team that competes at regional level, as well as an under-16/18 development side.

The University of Bath Intramural Futsal Leagues run every week in Founders Hall and players wishing to take up the five-a-side sport are welcome to sign up.

Visit www.teambath.com/sport/student/3thirty-club for details about the league or www.teambath.com/sport/football/futsal for more information about Team Bath Futsal.
