Fun for all the family awaits this half-term in Bath
With half-term looming, it's time to start thinking about what to do with the kids while they're home from school.
The October half term can be particularly difficult to plan with the unpredictably changeable weather, but there's a variety of fun and interesting activities on offer regardless of your budget or the age of your kids.
Bath is packed full of museums, exhibitions and galleries that cover a range of subjects and offer something for all children, no matter what their interests.
If we're lucky with the weather and you're looking for a more athletic activity, why not plan a bike ride along your local cycle route?

Those with younger children might consider a trip to the cinema in the afternoon followed by a family meal in town. Planned days out can keep the whole family entertained, and with plenty of special family offers in many of the city's restaurants it needn't be a huge cost either.
The Wookey Hole Halloween Spooktacular 2012 takes place from October 27 until November 4.
This year's event is where the resident Witch of Wookey Hole will meet and greet you before creepy competitions and eerie tours through the caves… go if you dare!
Once inside there's no going back with the cackles, the dimly-lit corridors and the echoes of drips into the river making for an experience you'll never forget.
When you have escaped the caverns you will find an array of attractions to explore with over 20 attractions included in your ticket.
Be sure to check out the Live Halloween Circus Shows, a fun-packed show featuring trapeze, silks, juggling, unicycling, magic, the Witch of Wookey Hole and so much more.
The circus shows will be on daily at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
New for 2012 you can now meet the Witch's minions in the Witch's Grotto and each child will receive a free gift.
All this is included in the price of a £12 ticket; it's great value and a great day out for all the family.
Wookey Hole is also hosting Ghost Tours from October 27 until November 3.
This year's Ghost Tours are also not to be missed and the evening tour of the caves is followed by a two course carvery dinner, included in the price of a ticket.
The children's play areas / Mirror Maze and Penny Arcade are open after your visit but booking is essential as spaces are limited.
