“Drugs of any kind cause you harm, why do you want to be out of your heads,is that all your life is worth.”

“Well, I am a child of the 60's, and as such the stereotype says I should be into drugs. I can say I never have been, and I would not recognise cannabis if I saw it.”

“What a waste of time and money.
The government should regulate and tax currently illegal drugs, according to harm.
The money raised would pay for professional rehabilitation for every addict many times over.
We shouldn't applaud these actions; we should ask for drug misuse to be treated as health issue, not a criminal one. Those arrested will have access to drugs in prison - when they are released what will have changed?”

“I can't believe some of the posts on here. The last time I checked cannabis was an illegal drug. Of course the police must act against it, as they should with all criminal activity.”

“#oprelentless HQ-based Sean Price is out with officers & said: "There's a real buzz & no stone is left unturned in the searches" -are the officers being affected by the fumes and do they really mean 'stoner'?”

“Haha, how pointless. Shouldn't they be sorting out the really dangerous Class A drugs as a priority before attacking a drug probably less dangerous than alcohol and only illegal because it's not as engrained in our culture as booze.
It'll be back on the streets in no time, there's no shortage of people looking to make quick money with some herbs. The whole thing's a waste of time and money.”

“The police go smashing up homes and terrorizing people!!!?
how does this help?
They definitely need this weed more than anyone else who likes a puff.
At least cannabis users don't go around behaving in such a thuggish and violent way.
Hopefully they will put all this bud to good use and educate themselves with what it's all about!”

“250 people have now been inconvenienced....plus many many more who will probably need a drink of alcohol to deal with the stress of their weed supply drying up and prices rocketing!”

“WOW big news!!
Leave the cannabis alone and go do some real work. Surely if they are growing there own they don't need to rob and steal to pay for it.
You don't need to try brainwashing the community with tweets about 'big bad cannabis' its common knowledge that its harmless and a lot benefit from it so what exactly are you trying to achieve?? You are turning innocent people into criminals.
WASTED TAX PAYERS MONEY and WASTED WEED.”
