Flashmob pupils have a heart with blood donor promotion
The importance of blood donation was highlighted by an event involving a crowd of schoolchildren in Bath's SouthGate centre.
Some 95 students from Kingswood School staged a surprise flashmob, emerging from crowds of shoppers to burst into a rendition of Bonnie Tyler's I Need A Hero.

This grabbed the attention of passers-by and drew crowds to the centre, where blood recipients gave personal accounts of their experiences and told of the need for donors.
NHS staff gave information and advice about giving blood, with the aim of encouraging people to donate.
