Face of Marks and Spencer Seb White chosen to turn on Oldfield Park Christmas lights
Christmas lights in Oldfield Park are to be switched on by the city's newest famous face.
Four-year-old Seb White will be doing the honours with the help of Father Christmas on Saturday, November 24 at 4.30pm.
Seb, who has Down's syndrome, shot to fame this year after being chosen as the face of the Marks & Spencer in-store Christmas catalogue. He has also done some modelling work with national children's clothing brand JoJo Maman Bébé.
Barry Cruse, who is part of the team of local volunteers who organise the Moorland Road Christmas lights, said the youngster was the perfect choice.

He said: "It's been such a huge year for Seb. With his starring role in the Christmas advertisements, we thought let's top the year off for him by switching the lights on in Moorland Road.
"We don't choose just anyone, we only choose important people and Seb is important."
Father Christmas is expected to arrive in Moorland Road at 3pm when he will give presents to children aged eight and under.
During the day there will also be raffle.
This year the lights, which are paid for by Moorland Road traders, will include 40 artificial Christmas trees and 20 sets of rope display lights.
