Event makes an ace return
TENNIS Over-50s braved some tricky conditions at The Lansdown Club as they battled it out for Bath Building Society's Veteran's Tennis Team Cup.
Six teams took part in a competition which is now an annual event in the Bath tennis calendar following its successful debut last year.

The eventual winners were the Chippenham All Stars, captained by Mike Powell, who defeated Lansdown in the final.
Lansdown Tennis Club's Colin Selby said: "The second annual competition went ahead over the weekend, in spite of the wettest playing conditions imaginable.
"The afternoon players had continuous driving rain and very strong winds, but remained stoic throughout."
The trophy was presented by club president David Franklin, who commented on the players' bravery and told the teams that next year's event would be played on newly-laid and refurbished court surfaces.
Dick Jenkins, the chief executive of Bath Building Society, added: "Last year's tournament was a great success, and Bath Building Society was delighted to be able to sponsor such a well supported tournament.
"I would like to congratulate the Chippenham All Stars on their win and I look forward to watching them defend their title at next year's tournament."
