Essential staff to be transported to work
Sirona Care & Health has implemented its emergency winter planning arrangements.
We are grateful again that the Red Cross, the Bath Emergency Medical Team drivers and local taxi firms have agreed to transport many essential staff to and from their places of work, bosses said tonight.
As a result, the two community hospitals - St Martin's, Bath and Paulton Memorial Hospital - and the Community Resource Centres at Cleeve Court, Combe Lea and Charlton House are all well staffed as are extra care services at Avondown, Hawthorns, St John's and Greenacres.

District nurses, supported living learning disability services and other community services will be prioritising all urgent visits and contacting anyone who is expecting a visit if they are unable to reach them. It may be that some of the journeys will need to be completed on foot.
Carrswood, Bath and Connections, Radstock, will be closed.
Falls Clinics have been cancelled.
Some outpatient services will still be running including hearing, audiology and podiatry but Sirona staff ask patients to check in the morning before setting out. However, even if the clinic is running, if you find it difficult to get to your appointment, staff are keen for you to keep safe and patients are advised to call and rebook the appointment.
