Early bird artisan market starts the countdown to Christmas

Shoppers getting organised early for the festive period will be able to start ticking things off the Christmas list next month.

The Bath Artisan Market at Green Park Station is holding an Early Bird Christmas Market on Sunday, November 11, 9.30am to 4pm.

There will be more than 60 stalls, selling vintage clothes, cards and artwork, jewellery, preserves, cakes, oils and vinegar, local cheese and bread, handmade chocolates, cakes and Christmas decorations.

On December 9, 9.30am to 4pm there will be a Christmas food and stocking filler market at Green Park Station with more than 60 stalls selling a selection of preserves, handmade clothes, painted furniture and Christmas decorations.

Bath Vintage and Antiques Market will also be helping those shoppers struggling to find the perfect gift this Christmas with two festive themed markets, also being held at Green Park Station.

A Christmas Market Special is being held on Sunday, November 25, 9.30am to 4pm with furniture, jewellery, decorative accessories, vintage fashion, silverware, ceramics and books. Shoppers will also be able to buy from Dorothy House Hospice Care and Julian House. A Trade Tuesday Christmas Market is being held on December 11 from 7.30am to 3pm.

    “I thought perhaps hastily, that Bath rugby would remain at the Rec, I hope so as they {so it looks}have built a new stand, all they need to do is clean up the appearance of the weir entrance.”

    “Well there could - but those that know better than us have agreed to concrete over it for commercial interest and swap it for a muddy field that floods on the far outskirts of the city as a way of obtaining a better resolution for the public of Bath to whom the Rec was left in trust - Yeah Right!”

    “Can there not be a market on Bath rugby ground, I dont mean the expensive German style one but a classy one nevertheless,perfect spot for the odd car boot, or failing that on the weir site along the river.”
