Disney Store to close after 20 years
The fairy tale has come to an end for Disney in Bath as the company announces the closure of its store after 20 years.
The shop in Union Street opened in 1992 but will shut in January when the lease comes to an end.
A spokesman said: "As a normal part of doing business, we continue to evaluate our store portfolio to ensure we're in the right locations and are able to provide magical experiences for our guests.
"An opportunity arose to exit our Bath store which we decided to take. We are now trying to find alternative employment opportunities for our cast members within Disney."

Meanwhile, the GAME Group has declined to comment on the future of its Westgate Street store.
Last week the company reopened its SouthGate branch just seven months after closing it when it went into administration.
GAME said it had re-evaluated the store and decided to reopen but would not say whether it would be keeping its GAMEStation store in Westgate Street.
Last month the group announced it would be merging its two brands, GAME and GAMEStation.
A GAME spokesman said: "We review all our properties on an ongoing basis to make sure we're delivering for the gaming community and that was why we took the decision to open in the SouthGate centre.
"We have no comment to make regarding our Westgate Street store."

“This is a surprise since i would have thought that it would appeal to tourists. More importantly, it does confirm that the growth of online shopping cutting out the middleman with convenient opening times and parking means that no store is immune from closure and we need to adapt to the inevitable changes to the High Street. Having written that, i would be interested to know whether the costs of the lease have played a part.”
