Staff from businesses across Bath were in the doghouse, as they tried to raise £2,000 for charity.

Six workers from firms across the city swapped places with the animals at Bath Cats and Dogs Home in an attempt to raise funds for the centre.

Locked in a kennel with only a phone and laptop, they had to contact friends and colleagues and persuade them to sponsor them, to raise the £2,000 needed to secure their release.

Participants were Graham Avent from Bath Vet Group, Gemma Bolton from Appoint Personnel, Scott Perkins and John Case from Burton Sweet chartered accountants, Steve Smitherman from Barclays Bank, and the home's head of fundraising Rachel Jones.
