Dan hits hat-trick of penalties as Social see off Colerne
CHIPPENHAM LEAGUE Dan Lardner scored a hat-trick of penalties as Biddestone Social battled back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to beat local rivals FC Colerne 5-3 on Sunday.
The defending SK Fruits Ltd Chippenham League Premier Division champions were trailing to two goals from Chris Dixon – a 25-yard thunderbolt and a spot-kick – before the first two Lardner penalties drew them level.
Ashley Pechey restored Colerne’s lead but Martin Johnson levelled before the break and then put Social ahead for the first time before Lardner sealed the points in the 89th minute.
Division 1 leaders Bradford Renegades were also made to work hard for their 4-2 success against bottom-of-the-table North Star A, whose goals came from Paul Green.

With hot-shot Sam Jordan drawing a blank for the first game this season, it was left to strike partner Mark Robinson to bag all four goals for the victors.
Biddestone White Horse were hoping to go six points clear of Castle but instead find themselves above the third-from-bottom team only on goal difference after a 5-3 home defeat.
In Division 3, Joe Forester opened and closed the scoring as leaders Corsham Park Rangers beat Christian Malford 5-2.
Kent Kauppinen also bagged a brace and Kadir Ayhaw completed the nap hand, while goals from Scott Evans – who missed an early penalty – and Paul Knight kept the visitors in contention until the 86th minute.
FC North Wiltshire’s match against FC United of Chippenham was switched from an unplayable Stanley Park to their Leafy Lane home and the Division 4 leaders took full advantage to win 7-2.
Dan Dring and James Bamford’s opening goals were cancelled out by an Adam Gerrard brace but North Wilts went on the rampage after that, with Dan Deacon hitting a hat-trick and Ross Lye scoring twice.
