Crack down on these cyclists
As a regular user of London Road Bath its clear to me, as I'm sure it is to others, that it's only a matter of time before there is a fatal accident involving a cyclist.
It's wrong to brand them all the same as many motorist do, but a small number just seem to have little knowledge of the Highway Code, or maybe they just don't care.
At rush hour they can be seen weaving, in and out of cars, riding on the wrong side of the road and jumping lights. Only last Thursday night, I witnessed cyclist jump the lights, but not only did he jump the lights but he did it at very high speed.
It's time that the police enforced the law. I'm sure they would if it was a car or motor bike breaking the law.

“"It's time that the police enforced the law. I'm sure they would if it was a car or motor bike breaking the law."
Yes Terry. The police always enforce the law against cars. We never see them speeding, failing to indicate, or give way, or stop at red lights. The threat of court-imposed sanction makes motorists obey the Highway Code to the letter.
How fortunate for you that your world is populated with such amazingly compliant, virtuous motorists. Can I move in next door please? My world is often peppered with people in cars failing to give way, allow safe room for passing, running amber and red lights at speed, opening doors without looking, blaring horns, shouting abuse etc. Over 100 people on bikes are killed by others using cars each year, and 9 times out of 10 it is the driver at fault (DfT stats for you there). Absolutely zero people in cars are killed by those on bikes.
So where does the problem lie, exactly?”
