TeamBath badminton player Chris Coles has been selected to make his World Junior Championships debut in Malaysia next month.

Coles, who is studying for an Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE), is a member of England's nine-strong squad for the competition.

Fellow TeamBath player Josh Green has been named a non-travelling reserve for the championships, which get underway on October 23.

Meanwhile, University of Bath Chemistry student Chris Hotchen beat Josh Green in the men's singles final at the Kent Open on the Satellite circuit. Green won the men's doubles final with partner Phil Aspinall.

Hotchen also teamed up with University of Bath physics student Alison Marr to win the mixed doubles at the Cornwall Open, which is also on the Satellite circuit. Both players were runners-up in their respective singles competitions.
