BUCCS LADIES City of Bath Ladies took the honours in their derby with TeamBath Buccs Ladies 3rd as they won 3-0.

Karen Hoyle saw two efforts saved by the City keeper as Buccs made a strong start.

Sue Hetherington was banished to the dugout after receiving a yellow card, but Buccs survived for 10 minutes with a player less before City took the lead.

They made it 2-0 before the break and a third City goal followed in the second half despite three good saves from keeper Penny Mead.

Claire Toogood was the player of the match for Buccs, who travel to Colwall this weekend.

Buccs Ladies 4th felt hard done by after a 3-1 defeat to North Wilts.

Wilts took the lead through a fortunate deflection off one of their forwards before Katy Ray put two efforts wide of the goal.

Emilie Sauven had a penalty flick disallowed before Wilts claimed their second goal.

Buccs piled on the pressure in the second period and it finally yielded a goal when Sauven set up Ray to make it 2-1.

But, despite Buccs having the lion's share of the possession, Wilts netted a third to seal their fate.

Emma Appleby and Laura Moorcroft were on the scoresheet as Buccs Ladies 5th netted with three well-worked goals in a 6-3 defeat to Devizes 2nd.

Buccs Ladies 1st were consigned to a 4-1 defeat by Gloucester, while the 2nds were beaten 3-0 by Plymouth Marjons despite a fine display from keeper Gilbert.
