Bath City have been drawn away to Blue Square South rivals Maidenhead United in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

The tie will take place at York Road on Saturday, November 21 and will see City looking to continue their fine unbeaten record against the Magpies.

Darren Edwards scored the only goal when the sides met at Twerton Park in the league on August 11, earning City their seventh win in eight fixtures against Maidenhead in the process.

The winners of the tie will bank £4,000 in prize money and join the 24 Blue Square Premier clubs in the first round proper.

Meanwhile, City have announced new dates for the two Blue Square South fixtures postponed during their FA Cup run.

Adie Britton’s men will travel to Staines Town on Tuesday, November 10 and make the trip to Essex to face Braintree Town on Tuesday, December 8. Both games will kick off at 7.45pm.

The club has also put the kick-off time of the home game against Chelmsford City on Saturday, November 14 back 15 minutes to 3.15pm to accommodate Bath Rugby fans attending the Anglo-Welsh Cup clash with Ospreys earlier in the afternoon.

Anyone showing a ticket from the Ospreys game can get in for half price - just £5 - including students and concessions.

Bath’s MP, Don Foster, said: “A lot of Bath people like watching football and rugby and this gives them a perfect chance to do both on the same day.

“Full marks to City for rearranging the kick-off time to 3.15pm. Rugby fans can easily get along to Twerton on the number five bus – it even has ‘Bath City FC’ on its information board - and I shall be there to support both Bath teams.”

In another initiative to swell the growing ranks of children at City games, the club has decided to offer all accompanied under-12s entry to league games for just £1.

Director Phil Weaver said: “City are making their first appearance for five years in the first round of the FA Cup, away to Grimsby on Saturday, and have also had a recent good run of two wins and two draws in the last four league games.

“We already get a good number of youngsters at the games, but would like to encourage more. £11 for an adult plus child under 12 is very good value.

“We continue with the Junior Stripe ticket, which is £30 for the whole season, up to age 16.”
