Chronicle scores a hat-trick
Just to prove that lightning can strike on top of Lansdown, last Thursday three Chronicle tips came home in front – Point of Light, Mister Hughie and Diane's Choice – while the other, Mr Udagawa took a raincheck, finishing second. Slacker.
Anyone with even a passing knowledge of form, the law of averages or Old Moore's Almanack will now understand that advice from this column may now be safely ignored for several months.

And so to Sunday's Family Fun Day. Apart from the fun – and as usual admission for children aged under 16 is free – it's also the day of Bath's classiest race of the year, the EBF Dick Hern Fillies' Stakes, a Listed race with £40,000 added prize money.
At the time of going to press, only the four-day entries are known but there is some serious horseflesh here and they are worth consideration.
Top of the list is Luca Cumani's Annabelle's Charm but, although she cost almost half a million as a foal, she has run in very modest company and without outstanding success even there. She is easily dismissed and is probably a non-runner.
Barry Hills' Glen Molly has also run in average company although more successfully, so could be an each-way chance.
The one with most appeal is Mick Channon's Please Sing. She knows where the winning post is and has run in top class company, even winning the Group 2 Cherry Hinton, and seems to stay well.
With a run, she must be a worthy favourite.
Her Majesty the Queen's Golden Stream, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, has done well in class races too, so comes into the equation, but Channon's still looks the pick.
